Just got Kreg's January '04 catalog. Finally getting the ProPack
Pocket Hole kit. In the back of their catalog they have a new Kreg
Miter Gauge System. Looks damn nice and my General 650 is coming in
this week. (Burst of joy YAA!)

Can not find much of any info on the miter gauge, even on Kreg's site.
Anyone have a perspective on this? It's quite tempting.

I saw the miter gauge at the WW show several weeks ago. Looked pretty good
and they have a nifty attachment for cutting repeatable 45's to the same
length. The show price seemed pretty reasonable.

I've not seen this one yet and I have been looking at all the ones on the
market, I finally got the Osborne, Different than all the others and in the
price range of the Incra and the one Rockler touts. I haven't used it enough
to make any critical judgements yet but so far it has impressed me.

Kreg has apparently purchased Mark Duginske(sp) entire
collection of tool add-ons... This was the guy that had
the so called "Fast Track" system using so really snazzy
looking t-track. I also believe he had a miter guage.

Kreg has also developed their own T-track which is VERY
impressive. The web site is not updated with any of the
material...

Actually I was just paging thru Fine Woodworking #168 and they have
what looks to be identical miter gauge from - FasTTrak. Maybe this
explains Kreg's new offering?

I checked the FastTrack site and learned that miter gauge is a new product
for them also. Kreg does offer however a piece to add to the stop that
handles pieces of wood with beveled ends. Looks like one or the other is
building the miter gauge and selling to the other.

Address to the New Products page.
