Found a Delta DJ-15 Jointer for sale. At least I think that's the right
number, it's the 6" cantilevered model.

Looks to be in very nice condition. Anyone have any thoughts about it that
they'd care to share? Or ideas of what it's worth?

Thanks.

its a decent tool. Its the jointer I got (back then I didn't have 220 for
the DJ20), and its served very nicely. For long boards, plan to have a
support of some sort for in/outfeed.....

You still needed infeed/outfeed support? I thought the DJ-15 had
like a 55" table length? Or am I thinking of another jointer?

I would opt for the DJ-20 if it isn't too much more. You have more width
for face jointing. If it is a good sale, however, go for it. I have the
DJ-20 and like it.

The DJ15 is plenty long enough. There are some people that think a
board needs to be fully supported in order to be jointed well. Those
of us who have had smaller jointers have mostly learned good technique
and can joint boards much longer than the tables. Sadly, now that I
have a DJ20, in practical terms I won't be able to take much advantage
of that skill.

well, if you're jointing a 8' long hunk of 12/4 oak, the supports help a
lot..... I do a lot of big stock work. Probably for "normal" stuff. the
stock tables would be great....

Don't take this the wrong way Rod, but I'm not having much sympathy

with you and the DJ-20. It's great you have one!
